Hwanwoong was the first Oneus member to join RBW  (February 2016) followed a month later by Seoho and then 6 months later Keonhee joined them.

Keonhee was a trainee for just 6 months when he, Hwanwoong and (back then) Lee Gunmin (aka Seoho) auditioned for the idol trainee series Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017. 

​

While on Produce 101 Seoho sadly did not receive much screen time and even after an amazing performance of 'Boy In Love' (by BTS) with other non-RBW teammates, he was eliminated in the first round after reaching only position 94. 

​

On the second round of the show, Hwanwoong and Keonhee went on to become centers, and Keonhee even ranked number 1 for vocal position when evaluated by the show's judges panel. Unfortunately, Hwanwoong didn't survive the round and ultimately he ranked 42 being eliminated even after a really impressive performance.

Keonhee was eliminated on the last round before the finals and ended the show ranking 32.

​

Their popularity on the show helped RBWboys to get established in their run-up to debuting. 

​

Ravn joined 3rd September 2017 after the end of PD101 and quickly went off to Mixnine with Seoho where both made it through to the finals ranking at 27 (Yong Jo/Ravn) and 19 (Gunmin/Seoho). Ultimately the winning trainees never got to debut as YG made a financial loss.

Leedo and Xion joined RBW in March and April of 2018 and the group quickly began preparations for the debut. Xion had the shortest trainee time of just 8 months before they debuted as Oneus on 09/02/2019.

 

Pre-debut Oneus were known as RBW boyz and would regularly do busking performances and participate in small concerts where they were seen performing their pre-debut songs, 'ZigZag', 'English Girl' (which was a dedication to their already growing international fanbase) and their own re-arranged renditions of Big Bang's 'Bang bang bang' and Red Velvet's 'Bad boy'. They also did their own arrangement of Mamamoo's 'Starry Night' during one of their pre-debut missions.

 

In the run-up to debut they participated in two reality shows, one was the ' I shall debut' series with brother band ONEWE which focused on mini-projects designed to improve their group cohesiveness and performance skills. During the early part of this series, they performed some joint group concerts ('Gemstone', 'Sparkling Piece' and 'Piece of U') on 24th June 2018 during their 'Piece of U' concert they announced their new group name, ONEUS. This was followed by further joint and singular group missions and then this led to the short series 'power up snack bar'. Once this series finished they began focusing on true debut work.

 

They officially debuted on January 9th, 2019 with title track 'Valkyrie' and their album 'LIGHT US' part 1/3 of their 'US' series which was followed a few months later on 29th May 2019 with their 2nd mini-album 'RAISE US' and their title track 'Twilight'. 

 

Oneus has recently announced their last mini-album in the 'US' series will be released on 30th September 2019 and will be called 'Fly With Us'. They will be holding a special concert on 21st September at Yes24 Hall in Korea to celebrate.
