Born in Yangcheon, Seoul (Source JTBC2 Kang on Box ep1) Hwanwoong was the first of the RBWboys to join RBW in Feb 2016 (Source: News1 interview).
Hwanwoong's favorite videos to help relax and energize him include babies/puppies and cute videos (Source: Sound K interview) and the group agreed that Hwanwoong is the most “competitive” and that he likes to be sure everything is perfect when it comes to performances (Source: K-Poppin’ interview).
Hwanwoong is the hardest to wake up in the morning and has stated on multiple occasions that he is very slow throughout the day in contrast to his role as main dancer (Source: ASC). He is really flexible an can do leg splits (Source: Pops In Seoul profiles).
His hero/role models are Rain and Chungha. Rain is the artist who inspired him to become a singer and due to his skills in multiple areas, he wants to become someone like Rain. Chungha inspires him with her stage performance and presence (Source: Officially Kmusic).
