Ravn was born in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do ( source JTBC2 Kang on Box ep1 ) and was a child model between 6~8 years old by this time he was also cast as an extra actor. (Source: Pops In Seoul profiles) He has continued with his acting since joining RBW as acting classes are part of their lessons through training and beyond.
Ravn has stated he wants to appear in sitcoms (Source: Pops In Seoul profiles) and recently he has participated in a mini-movie advert for store SPAO which is Harry Potter themed alongside group member Seoho (and two female RBW trainees) and he also acted on Mamamoo's ‘Everyday’ MV and Jin Ju’s “GIẢ VỜ NÓI YÊU EM ĐI” MV (you can find them here).
When asked what he would do if he wasn't a singer, Ravn has stated that if his wish was to be a fashion designer (Source: ASC). He likes to buy the same outfit in different colors if he thinks he looks cool in it (Source: ASC) and he has shown during the ‘I shall Debut’ series that he likes to DIY many of his clothes and he shows a strong sense of fashion.
Ravn has been a trainee under YG, Plan A, and JYP and was meant to debut in Victon, but he left and joined RBW. Ravn rarely mentions his previous trainee companies however there are videos deep on the internet of his auditions for JYP and he met Leedo through his time with YG.
Ravn has stated his stage name comes from his love of the Marvel character Raven Darkholme, also known as Mystique. Ravn’s role models are Frank Ocean, Daniel Caesar and Kanye West (Source: Officially Kmusic).
Ravn joined RBW on 3rd September 2017 the day after his birthday and almost immediately began working towards Mixnine alongside Seoho for which he achieved ranking number 27 and reached the finals.
He appeared on his first Vlive with RBWboys on 21st January 2018.
Ravn has his own Soundcloud (link on the Soundcloud button on our footer) which he has uploaded covers and original works, he has also contributed to both writing/composing and producing on the majority of Oneus albums so far. He has a dog named Sunny whom he occasionally posts about on Oneus’ twitter account.
